Space Shuttle Endeavour, with a crew of six including the Italian ESA astronaut Roberto Vittori, will leave tonight for the International Space Station, carring on board a LINV experiment: the BIOKIS. Biokon In Space is a multidisciplinary scientific experiment in which different biological samples as algae, yeast, water bears and our Arabidopsis seeds will be grown on space for few days. Then, after their rentry, their gene expression will be evaluated to find out if there is any genetic alteration following a short flight.
